Terms & Conditions

These apply to every person booked on a course.

All places must be reserved by us receiving a completed booking form and full payment or £50 deposit.

The balance is payable 6 weeks prior to the start of the course. In the event that the balance is not paid we will have the discretion to cancel the booking.

The whole course fee is payable to reserve a place for any booking made within 6 weeks prior to the start of a course.

The course fee applies to the course and dates on the booking form. We cannot normally amend the dates or course title once you have been allocated a course space. Non attendance will be treated as a cancellation.

Cancellation by Client

Cancellations must be in writing or via email.

Gradient Adventure, once notified of any cancellation will endeavour to resell the course place. If resold, the client will receive a full refund less 20% administration fee.

Refunds will only be given after the start date of the course.

If the course place cannot be resold the client will be charged the following:

  • 60% of the total paid where cancellation takes place upto 8 weeks before the start of the course or 75% of the total course fee where cancellation takes place less than 8 weeks before the start of the course or
  • 90% of the total course fee where cancellation takes place within the final 2 weeks before the start of the course.

Cancellation by Gradient Adventure

Whilst every attempt is made that courses will run, Gradient Adventure will notify the client as soon as practicable where it believes on reasonable grounds that cancellation is necessary due to dangerous or unsuitable conditions.

Gradient Adventure shall notify the client of cancellation not less than 5 days prior to the commencement of the course where numbers as a result of client cancellation failed to reach a workable minimum.

In the event of cancellation clients will be offered:-

  • Full refund of course fee paid course.
  • Another course on different dates.

Safety & Participation Statement

Adventurous activities involve an element of risk with a danger of personal injury or death. By booking a course in these activities you are aware of and accept these risks and will be responsible for your own actions and involvement. We will teach you to manage these risks but we can never completely remove them. You confirm that you are familiar with the nature of the activities you wish to undertake and acknowledge those risks that are inherent therein and that you may freely withdraw from any activity without penalty and there is no pressure to take part.

Insurance & Loss

Our courses do not include any personal accident, cancellation, third party liability or personal injury insurance. We recommend that you take out your own policy and have a list of recommended insurers on our website. We will accept no responsibility whatsoever in respect of loss or damage to personal property.
